Always great service with a smile at this friendly neighborhood bar that offers outdoor patio seating, live entertainment and fun DJ's and bartenders

My Rainbow Lounge Review

We are visiting family here in Ft. Worth from the SF area. We inquired about the gay nightlife here. Our family did not know much about it so we decided to look on the internet. We saw several bars but Rainbow Lounge seemed to be the largest and decided to check it out. We get to the bar and get hit by a wave of stench from cigarette smoke. GROSS! This is almost like some of the dive bars back in SF. We were already here and decided to buy a drink or two. The bartender by the front door was cute and friendly (the other male bartender was not). We get our drinks and sit down. None of the floor staff and management is talking to the customers. The music is not good at all. No one was dancing or having a good time everyone was just looking at each other bored. This is supposed to be a premier gay bar? SMH. We talked to some other customers who pointed out that there are other Gay bars locally and we should check them out too. They did mention that the DJ who just left was very good and this new DJ is not any good (We agree). This DJs music selection was horrible and lacked any energy. Why is he playing rave music? They told us that now the better music is in Dallas. We stayed 45 more minutes and left to go to Dallas. We went to several bars and clubs and had a total good time. There was such a variety of venues. We recommend Dallas for the gay scene.
